Upper Bucklebury – Frilsham
The walk is approximately 8 miles in length and starts at 10:30am.
The walk consists of a mixture of quiet tracks and paths in the 860 acre Bucklebury common taking in the hamlet of The Slade. We will be heading in a circular route down into the scenic Pang valley and once we have crossed some ponds and the River Pang we will head up a gentle slope to reach the village of Frilsham. At Frilsham we will have a lunch stop by St. Frideswide’s well which has a history back to the 7th century. After lunch we return to our start point in a more direct but hillier route taking in the village of Bucklebury.
