The start was a little delayed due to a train delay but with plenty of light this was not a real concern.\n\nWalking towards the Great Chalk Woods provided excellent views of the river valley and we had a quick stop near the cemetery to learn a little about Arthur Harris - a major player in planning Allied bombing raids of Germany in WWII.
