Location: Park in the large layby on Wishbone Way, Goldsworth Park, Woking, GU21 3RT, or in the public carpark at the end of the road. Stagecoach Bus 91 runs from Woking Railway Station every 15 minutes and stops about a 5 min walk from the start.

A nine mile walk around Woking, along a stretch of the Basingstoke Canal, and through the woods and heath of Horsell Common (where the Martians landed in HG Wells' War Of the Worlds). An essentially flat walk on mostly good paths.

About 1/3 of the way round we'll do a short detour into Woking town centre for toilets.

No dogs please, as part of the common is being grazed.
