Great Bedwyn, Ham and Shalbourne

A beautiful walk in the Wiltshire countryside. After departing Great Bedwyn we head east via Foxbury Wood before heading north, then east again through Burridgeheath Plantation, Gully Copse, Baverstocks Copse and then turn north towards Bagshot. We then continue east towards Prosperous before turning south for our lunch stop in Ham. Toilets and a cuppa are available at the pub.

We then begin our homeward journey via Shalbourne and through the Poseidon Estate and into the Bedwyn Brail. It is then a short walk before we traverse the Kennet Avon canal, past the impressive St Mary's and back to the station. Option for a quiet drink at the Three Tuns pub while awaiting the train.

Occasional undulation and the odd stile on the way. Aspects remind me of the Australian bush, minus the snakes and kangaroos, hence a bit rough in parts.
