Cholsey and Wallingford
A new walk that traverses the largely treeless plains of the Berkshire Downs. Flat as the Nullarbor desert except for one small pimple.
We start off from Cholsey Railway station and follow the now defunct old national rail line towards Wallingford. The line is now a tourist rail train but that runs in the summer months. As we near Wallingford we branch off and head eastwards through new developments before leaving town via Wallingford sports park. We then follow Mill Brook westwards and into South Moreton where we will stop for lunch in the pub surrounds. Leaving South Moreton we head due South to Aston Upthorpe and Aston Tirrold via Blewburton fort. Finally we head Eastwards towards our destination, Cholsey.
